Today I received Gingers first, middle, last name. I knew her real first name, but I needed this info for our last remaining documents. As I received this info, I heard the old song "It's a bright, bright, bright, sunshiney day, look all around there's nothing but blue sky..." I just happened to look out the window, and the clouds began to move on. I brought the kids to the Pediatrician to have their shot for travel. I showed the Dr Gingers pic, who will also be her Pediatrician, he's checking out the pic, and than he says, "oh, what a beauty, she is going to have such a great life now" I've been reading more of a book regarding internationally adopted children, and attempt to understand the book "Russian translation for dummies" We're coming Ginger!

ReplyDeleteToday Frank and I had, hopefully, notarized the last bunch of documents. I still have to get one letter, and the homestudy apostilled, and one copy of the HS to Boston USCIS. boston processed our paperwork relativly quickly all ready, so hopefully this will go fast and smooth. We have also begun to check out flights to get an idea as to what's out there to Eastern Europe. I couldn't find the one non stop from NY, so we'll fly out of Boston, with one stop over in Europe. the fastest turnaround for a layover was Zurich, with 90 mins, some other countries are 2-4 hrs layovers. From Zurich, it's only a 2.5 hr flight, will seem like nothing after 6.5 hrs from Boston. So once we get the yes from USCIS to bring Ginger here, we will hopefully be able to submit our dossier to be sent to Eastern Europe, where will be approved by the state departments of adoption from there. It's such a gratifying feeling that we're heading towards the light at the end of the document tunnel, from US perspective anyway. It's 11:30pm where Ginger is, sweet dreams baby girl, soon you'll be on US Eastern time. We love you.
